A series of stories from our LAS community.

When you choose a college to attend, you're also choosing a community. From the faculty that teach the courses you're interested in, to the students that start as classmates and become friends, down to the staff that support and guide you through your choices post graduation. atLAS is a collection of interviews and stories with the members of our community that build the fabric of UIC, sharing their unique perspectives from groups they've found belonging within to their favorite classes.

In her recent interview with Stories from atLAS, Dr. Chiara Fabbian, Clinical Professor and Director of the Italian Program, emphasized the vital role of mentorship in her teaching philosophy. By encouraging students to engage in thought-provoking discussions, participate in study abroad experiences, and get involved in the community, Dr. Fabbian aims to create a supportive and enriching learning environment.
